This post was inspired by a conversation I had with some youths in Minna .
A challenge was throw at me to name projects by Hon Mohammed Umar Bago , the Member representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency.
I took it upon myself to go and see projects initiated by the Honourable.
My only close encounter with Bago was sometimes in 2013 , I saw him at National Assembly, I greeted him and his answer to me endeared him to me , this was because of some stories I heard that I later found were not true but a figment imagination of some dubious characters .
I picked a date to go around Minna Metropolis, in the quest to search for the truth , to see if really Hon Bago has impacted postively in the lives of his constituents.
I chattered a keke Napep, The driver of tricycle was the first person I interviewed , I asked him , Are you a registered voter in Minna ? He said , Yes .
I asked further, if he knows Bago , without even answering me he started praying for Bago , I said , why the prayers ? He said , Bago is the reason why today he can feed his family , educate his children.That the tricycle was given to him by Bago .
I told him my mission , to my surprise, he said , he would take me to anywhere free of charge because of Bago .
Our first point of call was Bariki Sale where the road leading to the area is been rehabilitated by Bago .
Then ,we moved to Dusten Kura Gwari when another road rehabilitation is taking place.
The next point of call was Tundun Wada North ,after Mopol barracks where a borehole is been reconstructed.
At Albishiri Village , a brand new transformer was installed courtesy of Hon Bago .
Dusten Kura primary school is lucky as three block of classrooms is been constructed by Hon Bago .
At Sabon Titi area , a water project is been sponsored by the Honourable, this is to alleviate the suffering faced by the people of the area to get drinking water .
Not done ,we went to inspect a mosque been reconstructed by Hon Bago at Tunga Maje. There is still another renovation of a mosque at filin kotas of Makera ward .
Not forgetting the ongoing roofing of a three blocks of classroom constructed by Hon Bago at Bariki Sale .
We also went to Abbatoir area where a mosque is been reconstructed.
From Abbatoir, we moved to Makera ward , where a bridge is been constructed by Hon Bago.
My new friend , the Keke Napep driver insisted he has many other projects site he want to take me to ,but I told him the day is getting dark , we should leave the rest to another day .
As I arrived home after the hectic day , I now know the reason why many people are clamouring for the re -election of Hon Bago.
