Photo News: Hon Rabiu Alfa Football Competition Kicks Off In Epoch
Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu of Ankpa 2 state constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly had kicked off a football competition across his constituency. The competition is organised to last for a period of three weeks and was formally kicked off by Hon Hassan Enape in debut match between Emabu FC and Inye FC.
Declaring the competition open, the honorable member who was ably represented by his wife, Mrs Lucia Rabiu noted that the competition is aimed at fostering unity among constituents without recourse to political party affiliations, faith and community interests assuring that machineries are already in place for quality officiating and peaceful exercise.
In their separate remarks before the commencement of the inaugural match, captains of Emabu FC and Inye FC both commended the initiative of the honorable and extolled it as a very commendable initiative given to the prospects of unity overtime fostered among youths by football.
The match later ended in a two goals penalty shoot out win in favor of Emabu FC after a ninety minutes draw occasioned by Inye maintaining a second half equalising goal that tied the game to a full time draw against a first half lead by Emabu.
