Niger COS bags Security Personality Award 2018.

The International Security Conference and Awards (ISCA) is an annual event organized by the International Institute of Professional Security (IIPS), and aimed at bringing into focus burning issues in the security industry vis-a-vis contemporary security challenges and proffering applicable solutions.

It also recognizes and gives awards to deserving practitioners, organizations and governments which have distinguished themselves in security matters.

The screening committee, which comprised seasoned security practitioners, journalists, consultants and teachers, considered his (the chief of staff to Niger state Governor) enviable record of securing peace and harmonious relationship among the various ethnic groups cohabiting within his concern and domain.

Based on their recommendations, the Institute is rewarding the chief of staff to Governor Abu Sani Bello of Niger state, Hon. Mikail Al-Amin Bmitosahi with the award of excellence as “DISTINGUISHED SECURITY PERSONALITY AWARD 2017/2018.

The Award was presented to him by the Chairman of the occasion, Maj Gen. SY Audu,(rtd), in Nicon Luxury Hotel Abuja on Saturday 18th August 2018.

Receiving the award, the Chief of Staff expressed gratitude to the Institute for finding him worthy of the honour, and for recognising his efforts towards making meaningful impact in the State.

In his remarks, the cos told the gathering that security of lives and property in this country cannot be achieved if we don’t start questioning the quality of people we elect to make laws for the nation.

“Until we change our behaviors and begin to do things right, elect leaders with credibility, capacity and character, we will never get it right security wise and everything else” he added.

Hon Bmitosahi, who was appointed as Chief of State to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello in June 2015, and was before then a member of the House of Representatives between 2007 and 2011 was praised for exhibiting high-level diligence in bringing his experience to bear to manage and complement the administrative affairs of the new government.
