A PLEA FROM THE PEOPLE OF NORTH CENTRAL

A plea from the people of north Central 

In the next few days ,the ninth national assembly would be inaugurated, a new dawn ushered and business in  this dispensation would properly take shape .

As the norm in every democratic nation or community  ,most especially our type of democracy in Nigeria the legislative arm of government holds  a paramount importance due to the fact that most developing countries witnessed long years of military government and the legislative arm is the only arm of government missing in military government. 

As spelt out ,legislatures are key to the sustenance of democracy .

All Progressives Congress APC took over power in 2015 after defeating Peoples Democratic Party PDP  who were in power for sixteen years  ,with the coming of APC ,a lot of Nigerians expect equity and fairness as the watchword of APC .

As much as we can say that there have been some improvements in governance  ,equity and fairness to all geopolitical zones is lacking. 

North Central has been on the receiving end since the coming of APC into power ,the  party has refused to accord the zone it deserved recognition and due  ,it is no secret how the outgoing Senate President Bukola Saraki came into power  ,he became Senate President by his own maneuver  ,If Bukola Saraki didn't find his way to become Senate President  ,the north Central would have been left with no key political position. 

With just two days left to elect new leaders for national assembly  ,would the north central be abandon just like what was obtained the last time?

Hon Umaru Mohammed Bago has been in the forefront championing the cause of north central, advocating  for equity and fairness .It is a known fact that After Northwest, North East, the north Central gave APC the most votes ,With North West having the President, North East producing the Senate President, what is the fate of North Central as the party seemingly has endorsed Hon Femi Gbajabiamila from Southwest   ,infact from Lagos State the same state from the Vice President. 

Would the House of Representatives members from North Central abandon the aspiration of the people of north central and vote for the alleged endorsed candidate from Southwest?I implore the Hon Members to bear it in mind that the decision they will take on tuesday is not just a decision but a day with history. 

Would other Hon Members from other zones respect the independence of legislative arm and vote for a candidate of their choice rather than an imposed leader on them ?I want to believe they will toe the path of honour and ensured equity and fairness. 

Hon .Bago has become the voice of the voiceless majority, his insistence on equity and fairness shows the love and interest he has for his people .

Multiple numbers of associations and groups from the north Central and other zones have repeatedly demand for equity and fairness, it is the believe of the people of north central that the zone will be compesented for the huge votes. 

It is paramount with all sincerity to let the elected members know that they have a day with history on tuesday, a day they will be judge for ,for the rest of their lives, whatever decision they are going to take should be for the interest of the people and not for the few tiny minority. 

Hon .Bago has the capacity to deliver  ,he has no baggage, he is detribalise ,he is relatable and at home with his people. He is simply the candidate to beat !!
