The Democracy Heroe Award is given annually by the Board of Directors to recognize the courageous and creative work of individuals that have advanced the cause of human rights and democracy around the world.
The colorful ceremony took place yesterday at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
