I, alongside Distinguished Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, Chairman Senate Committee on Cooperation and Integration in Africa and NEPAD presided over the Joint Committees of the Senate and House of Representatives Legislative Round - Table Discussion on the Second Africa Peer Review Mechanism of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) now Africa Union Development Agency (AUDA) head by Hon. Princess Gloria Akobundu, has a mandate to promote economic growth and sustainable development as well as eradicate poverty and accelerate the empowerment of Women and Youths, among others.
According to the Chairman of the National Governing Council of APRM - Nigeria, Senator Abba Ali, Nigeria stands to benefit more from the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) because it will provide a platform for the assessment of the level of governance in Nigeria thereby creating room for growth and development.
The Committee's Secretariat is open for your further contributions and recommendations on the Second Peer Review Process of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago
