The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), said it will be commissioning three transformers in Niger State by next week.
AEDC Managing Director, Dr. Ernest Muwaya, disclosed this when he received the lawmaker representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Umar Bago.
Hon. Bago, The NewsDigest, gathered visited AEDC head office in Abuja, to intervene over poor power supply, across the State.
Dr. Mupwaya, lamented the non-payment of electricity tariffs has led to loss of almost 831m from Niger State.
He appealed for collaboration from stakeholders to ensure proper security for poles, electricity lines and transformers.
On his part, Hon. Bago, said having discussed with youths in the State, it was understood that they have a special interest on how power should be distributed to various towns and communities in the State.
Other issues discussed during th meeting includes improving CSR, community policing of AEDC resources and involvement of youths for revenue collection, which will bring about employment and help AEDC boost its revenue.
