Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago flag off Niger Foods Corn Harvest .

Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has kicked off the Niger Foods corn harvest as part of his effort to mechanize agriculture and achieve his "Feed the Nation" agenda 

 He flagged off the harvest using a combined harvester at one of the corn farms of Niger Foods along Bida . The governor expressed delight, stating that there are over 100,000 hectares of corn fields of Niger Foods spread across the state, and 100 combined harvesters have been deployed ,This will significantly reduce losses, between 80 to 90 percent, and the state expects to produce around a million metric tons of corn this year, in addition to rice, soya beans, sesame, guinea corn, and millet , Additionally, the governor urged the State Task Force for Price Control to implement measures to prevent aggregators from hoarding food items, which often leads to price hikes
