GOVERNOR BAGO'S UNWAVERING ZEAL FOR SUCCESS.

Governor Bago's Unwavering Zeal for Success

As Niger State approaches its 50th anniversary (1976-2026), it's evident that the state has lagged behind in developmental strides compared to others created in the same year. However, with the advent of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, the landscape of Niger State has undergone a significant transformation. The state capital, Minna, which hadn't seen major development since the era of General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, is now catching up with other prominent state capitals.

The Urban Renewal Drive initiated by Governor Bago is achieving great success, with roads being reconstructed and new ones being built. Every area and street in Minna is receiving attention, and the construction of overhead bridges is a notable milestone, marking a new era in infrastructure development. It's no exaggeration to say that Minna is undergoing a transformation unmatched by any other state capital in the country.

Other parts of the state are also benefiting from Governor Bago's initiatives. Kontagora, Suleja, Bida, and other urban areas are receiving major uplifts, with improved infrastructure and amenities. The healthcare sector has become a priority, with hospitals being upgraded and new primary healthcare centers being built. The Minna General Hospital, Suleja General Hospital, and other hospitals are being renovated, while the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Teaching Hospital is under construction, which will significantly boost the efficiency of the healthcare sector.

Governor Bago's commitment to agriculture has earned him the title of "Farmer Governor." The state has become a pilot for agriculture in the country, with massive investments in the sector. Agreements with multinational companies have boosted the state's internal revenue, and the agricultural revolution is yielding tangible benefits. The educational sector is also thriving, with the establishment of a university of agriculture in Mokwa and a conventional university in Minna, Abdulkadir Kure University. Primary and secondary schools are receiving attention, with efforts to improve the quality of education.

From the foregoing, it's clear that Niger State is enjoying a transformation that will stand the test of time. This is just the beginning, and more progress is on the horizon. At this critical juncture, Governor Bago needs the support of all Nigerlites to achieve his vision of making Niger State one of the top states in developmental strides. With his zeal and passion, there's no doubt that Niger State will reach new heights.
