UT MUHAMMAD SOLIDIFYING NIGER STATE ECONOMY.

The government of Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello is a responsible one that has respect for the people. Therefore, it does not play with the welfare of it workers,  whether civil servants or political appointees. Their welfare has always been a topmost priority of the government.

So,  it is baffling that in the last few weeks, there has been a campaign of calumny against the Niger State Commissioner of Finance over salary payment.

It is worthy of note that the commissioner is a refined, well disciplined and a man of impeccable character who does not tolerate corruption or disobedience to the law.

His appointment as Commissioner of Finance is a saving grace as his coming has stabilised the finances of the state and the state is on course to the path of financial greatness.

The campaign of calumny sponsored by some disgruntled elements who are not happy with the achievements recorded by Alh UT Mohammed will not in anyway erase the achievements.

As stated earlier, workers welfare has been a topmost priority of this government. However, that does not mean there won't be little problems here and there and when such arise, the government never rests in making sure that solutions are found.

It is most unfortunate that those in the know about the global financial, crisis which Nigeria and Niger state are not exempted from,  are the ones sponsoring people to tell lies against Alh UT Mohammed.

The state is not owing civil servants and pensioners. Only political appointees are yet to receive their March salaries due to some issues. But efforts are being made to resolve it promptly.

.

Therefore,  those encouraging the campaign of calumny against the Honourable  Commissioner are advised to restrain from such. It is laughable and illogical that some people went to town with rumours that Alhaji UT Mohammed has used the money meant for casual workers and staff welfare to feel the pockets of his bosses in order to  buy houses for them in Abuja and to help secure his position by serving  his godfathers. This is nothing but filthy imagination of the disgruntled elements. it is false and should not be believed by a reasonable person.  How much is the staff welfare and their salaries?
What needs to be asked is how much is the wage bill of casual workers? How long has Alhaji UT Mohammed been the state Commissioner of finance? What the Hon Commissioner is asking and answers not provided fo is, what are the large number of casual workers doing vis-a-vis the current number of workers? Let us assume casual workers are needed; what is the large population of casual workers doing  for the ministry (ies). Casual workers are only required where necessary. An investigation carried out by this media showed close to 50 are casual workers in the Ministry of Finance alone. Is it necessary to look at the qualified ones and engage them via the CSC window.

It is also a pertinent lie that the Hon Commissioner has denied workers their rights and privileges. This can't be substantiated. Is the payment of staff entitlements his principal function?  Contrary to their thinking, he is a person who always treats his staff with much love. His records are there where he served on different capacities since 2007.

I'm concluding this rejoinder by stating that Alhaji UT Mohammed has been of enormous blessings to the state and has continued to contribute his quota in the places he found himself. For instance, in collaboration with his colleagues, he has been and will continue to look for funds and watch it expended productively on ongoing projects. Recently all the ongoing projects around the state have been provided with adequate funds required for completion and  commissioning by Mr Governor. We saw this gentleman on three occasions going round to see the roads at various sites in Minna. just this  Monday when most of us are holidaying; haba mana.

So what other money is he getting to share among  his bosses in order to retain his seat in what government? He is very much loyal to his excellency Alh(Dr) Abubakar Sani Bello until May29,2023 and even beyond. So put politics far away from him.
