One of the major problems in leadership in Nigeria and Africa at large is the inability of leaders to supervise projects effectively. This has become almost the norm, giving contractors a field day to misbehave, either by abandoning projects or doing a shoddy job. However, the administration of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago is changing the narrative in Niger State, as projects are being executed diligently. Governor Bago has embarked on a tour, which is taking him around the 25 local governments, with the intention of seeing firsthand information. In his first year, he has initiated projects across the local governments.
