Governor Bello's trips not for jamboree
Nigeria being a third world country have many enormous problems that interventions from the international community are needed to survive.
Niger State being one of the largest states and having huge numbers of civil servants with little resources is experiencing what many other states across the country suffers.
As part of the efforts of the able leadership of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, the executive governor of Niger State to increase the Internal Generated Revenue of the state and also bring the much needed developmental strides.
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has not rested and has taken the bull by the horn by seeking intervention, collaboration and help from reputable organisations to move the state to a greater height .
To achieve this ,Governor Bello has signed memorandum of understanding with organisations that have picked interest to partner the state.
What is Memorandum of Understanding?is it binding ?let us take a brief look of definition of Memorandum of Understanding..
A memorandum of understanding (MOU or MoU) is a formal agreement between two or more parties. Companies and organizations can use MOUs to establish official partnerships. MOUs are not legally binding but they carry a degree of seriousness and mutual respect, stronger than a gentlemen's agreement.
From the above definition, one can deduce that Memorandum of Understanding is not necessarily binding,it's a Understanding that is made which requires efforts from both parties to succeed.
Opposition parties, most especially the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has consistently attack the government of Abubakar Sani Bello of failure to achieve any of the Memorandum of Understandings, as much as this laughable and just a toothless bark of an opposition party, its important to let the readers know some of the Understandings signed have become fruitful, details will be provided in the next article.
It is equally important to let the people of Niger State know collaboration and signing of Understanding takes a lot of efforts ,majority of them do take time to materialise ,every details are needed to make the project a success.
As we all know, Government is a continuous process, there are some MOUs signed by this government, that implementation and realisation of the goal for the MOU will be achieved by a new government.
The most important factor are the benefits that the state will get at the end ,either during this administration or in the future .
PDP and it supporters should know governance is a serious affair, not a tea party affair, so,if PDP is criticising, it should be done with utmost sincerity and not uttering unguarded statements with no facts to substantiate allegations.
