HON JANTABO'S SUCCESS STORY

The major function of a government is to put smiles on the faces of her citizens, this is achieved through developmental strides ,security etc 


Hon Muazu Hamid Jantabo ,the executive chairman, Lapai Local Government has become a point of a reference in grassroot development. 

It is on this premise, many are advocating for his nomination as commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs by the government of RT Hon Mohammed Umar Bago .

As a council chairman, he has many projects to his name, ranging from health centers, markets, roads ,water among others .


Below are some of the projects by Hon.Jantabo 


Every ward in Lapai Local Government has enjoyed projects from the administration of Hon Mu’azu Jantabo government.
Some of the completed projects include,
Construction of Evuti market,Ebbo drainage project , Yelwa solar power, Yelwa water boreholes, Duma borehole and Tank base, Sabongida 500KVA transformer, Tudunfulanin Sonfada borehole, Rugan Mugu borehole, and Muye drainage, Zhizhimbu drainage, Shaku drainage, and Dangana dam, etc.  Takuti-Shaba water works .





The procurement of Mobile Science Laboratories by Hon. Mu'azu Jantabo is a deliberate investment in the future of education of Lapai Local Government -  it is a shuttle vehicle for students who have dreams in various science courses.

The intervention is a major effort of Hon. Mu'azu Jantabo's administration to dig solar powered boreholes across the local government 

The pilot project have been done in Daudu Maza Road in Arewa/Yamma ward, Duma in Duma/Zago ward and that of Ebbo/Gbacinku ward, situated in Ezhin .







Hon Mu’azu Hamidu Jantabo administration constructed roads at David Mark road and Etsu Lane. Grading of Water board road to Secretariat have been completed .

He has built bridges at Shaku and Zhizhimbu. In a similar effort, he made significant contribution to the overhauling of Dangana dam and constructed first phase of township drainage at Muye.



He has also completed construction of state of the art Modern Roundabout at the Emir's Palace junction in Lapai, projecting the sociocultural heritage of Lapai Emirate.

Over 100 students benefitted from his free UTME registration, some of whom got the required point and are now in various tertiary institutions.

Prioritising science education, Jantabo has purchased Mobile Laboratories to be distributed across secondary schools in Lapai LG.

During his earliest days in office, he procured 500KVA transformer for state low cost, Lapai. He also  purchased another transformer for Sabon Gida in Takuti/Shaku ward. Several transformers have been overhauled and put into use him such as in Anguwan and the Gidan Makada transformers etc

On public health, the council boss constructed blocks of toilets at Lapai Central Motor park as well as the Local Government secretariat. He also evacuated refuse heaps at Batagi in Arewa/Yamma ward. A number of health oriented programs received support from him.



Lapai Central Market is also undergoing concerted infrastructural change, as shops are being constructed around and within it; this is going to be a major turning point on the economy of Lapai Local Government and, potentially, Niger state and Nigeria at large.

Jantabo has also constructed boreholes at Secretariat, Malls road, Ibrahim road and Tudun Fulanin Sonfada.

Comprehensive overhaul of boreholes at Yelwa, Rugan Mugu,  Behind Magaji Primary school, Efu Mayaki, Cece and Emi Liman Bagldeggi were done, too.

To fully combat the menace of non availability of potable water especially in rural areas, he introduced Lapai Water Intervention Project (L-WIP), to construct solar powered boreholes with tank and tank bases across all wards in Lapai. The pilot project has commenced in Arewa/Yamma, Duma/Zago and Ebbo/Gbacinku ward and other places.

Hon Jantabo was Fortune World Magazine Chairman of the year for 2020 ,2021 and 2022 ,The Magazine is pleased to be associated with his giant strides ,we are sure he will do better when given a higher responsibility.
